CHATHAM, Va. (WRIC) -- The first session of the TEDx event at Green Rock Correctional Center is now streaming on the TEDx YouTube Channel. The Green Rock Correctional Center in Chatham hosted a TEDx event on May 7, which presented over two dozen speakers who shared inspirational stories, performed music and more. The schedule of the Session 1 videos are: Bridging the gap -- Alejandro Ruiz Finding wisdom and healing where you list expect it -- Paige Meade Meet me at the crossroads -- Charles Mason Monroe (music) From victimizer to victim -- Terry Brown Overcoming life's hurdles -- Armando Sosa One bad decision -- S. Archer Raising our youth right -- Dwayne Bolling “Since the Virginia Department of Corrections hosted this TEDx event back in May, correctionsteam members and others across Virginia have asked me when they could watch these important talks,” said VADOC Director Chad Dotson. “I’m happy that the first session is now live, so that people can get a sense of just how special that day was for all in attendance. Thank you to Proximity for Justice, every speaker, and everyone who made this event such a success."
