BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — A Romanian man and woman were arrested after stealing trash bags full of allergy medication from a CVS and then crashing a van while fleeing from police. According to a Bargersville Police Department report, officers were called to the CVS on State Road 135 on Oct. 10 after a man and woman allegedly stole "a bunch of allergy medication." Witnesses said the suspects fled the store in a white Toyota van. Officers en route intercepted the van and gave chase, police said. The van is accused of fleeing from police before crashing near Proctor Park in New Whiteland. Police said a man and woman fled the van on foot. The woman was caught hiding in a culvert. The man was found with the assistance of K9 officers a short time later, hiding in a backyard. According to the police report, two 55-gallon trash bags full of allergy medicine were found in the vehicle. The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Janeta S. Buzdugan and 31-year-old Serafim Hornea, also known as Albert Lionte. A police report lists Buzdugan as having a Denver, Colorado, address and Hornea as having a Houston, Texas, address. Bargersville police told the Daily Journal the pair are from Romania and are believed to be suspects in other thefts in the Whiteland and Greenwood area.
