Woman shot in face in Greensboro, man charged with attempted murder, police say

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- A woman is in the hospital in critical condition after being shot on Tuesday, and a man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.
Around 2:21 a.m., Greensboro officers responded to Niagara Street when they were told about a shooting.

Officers found a 28-year-old woman in an upstairs bedroom who had been shot in the face.
She was taken by ambulance to a hospital in critical condition.
Cheavez Ajee Clapp, 27, was arrested on charges of attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Clapp and Lee had a personal relationship.
Details about a possible motive for the shooting are not available at this time.
