Study: Americans growing concerns over credit card debit
Oct 15, 2024
(CNN)– A study found Americans have not been this worried about making their minimum credit card payment since the pandemic.
The information comes from Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Its September survey showed the average perceived probability of missing a minimum debt payment during the next 3 months was more than 14%.
That is the highest reading since April 2020. Outside of the pandemic, it is the highest delinquency expectation reading since January 2017.
And it is the 4th monthly increase in a row.
