(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) notified the community that a sex offender, 42-year-old Michael Anthony Trujillo, will be on supervised release and parole and has changed his address within the CSPD jurisdiction. Trujillo's past behavior has led him to be labeled a "Sexually Violent Predator" (SVP) by the Parole Board. CSPD will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that Trujillo registers as a sex offender and that he understands his responsibilities as such. Trujillo was convicted of Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust in El Paso County in 2003. He also has convictions in El Paso County for attempted assault in 2022, possession of controlled substances in 2009, assault in 2009, attempted escape in 2006, and escape in 2001. In Pueblo County, he was convicted of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender in 2019.
