(U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — The Air Force Services Center (AFSVC) announced the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) will be featured in a new exclusive series called "Base Bites." The series, produced by AFSVC, takes viewers inside different dining facilities and eateries that offer unique menus across the U.S. Air Force and Space Force bases. Host Rudy J will visit nine installations across the U.S. and get the inside scoop on the best dishes and activities. Rudy J will try any base favorite dishes and explore a slice of servicemembers' lives. “In launching this new series, we celebrate not just the culinary delights found on our installations but the incredible men and women who serve our nation," said Gary Lott, Chief of Integrated Marketing and Branding. The debut episode will air on the AF LIVE streaming app only and will feature USAFA's Eisenhower Golf Club where Rudy J will learn about the Wings of Blue, the Academy's elite parachute team, play a few rounds of hold, and get lunch recommendations while talking with instructors and cadets. "The AF Live app stands as a testament to the rich tapestry of interests within the Air Force and Space Force communities. ‘Base Bites’ is more than just a culinary journey; it’s a heartfelt tribute to the dedication of our Airmen and Guardians,” said Lott. At the Academy, Rudy J and the Base Bites crew will talk to Chef Mary Duke and learn more about USAFA's prime rib, fish and chips, and chicken wings. "The Air Force Services Center recognizes that people are its greatest asset; accordingly, we are putting audiences behind the scenes of service members' lives in the new ‘Base Bites’ series," said Richard Cooper, Strategic Marketing & Branding Specialist. "The newly created culinary show is just one of the many in production for our media channel, AF Live app. Each series showcases Airmen’s and Guardians' most coveted interests, base life, and remarkable talents." Download it on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android. Watch the series debut on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. on the AF Live app.
