LSU women's basketball ranked No. 7 in preseason AP Top 25 poll

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The LSU women's basketball team is ranked No. 7 in the preseason Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Coach Kim Mulkey enters her fourth season in Baton Rouge and the Lady Tigers return three starters from last year's team that held a 31-6 overall record during the regular season. According to LSU Athletics, those returning starters include Flau'jae Johnson, Aneesah Morrow and Mikaylah Williams.
The Lady Tigers were also chosen to finish third in the league in a preseason poll Monday. Johnson and Morrow were selected for the Preseason All-SEC First Team and Preseason Co-SEC Players of the Year. Williams was selected for the Preseason All-SEC Second Team.
According to LSU Athletics, seven teams from the Southeastern Conference are ranked in the preseason poll.

LSU will open the 2024-25 season at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4 against Eastern Kentucky at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
