(KRON) – Vietnamese sandwich eatery, Bun Mee, is opening its fifth restaurant in San Francisco. The newest location will be in the Marina District. Per Bun Mee’s website, the sandwich restaurant is a “gourmet culinary forward eatery that offers a “fresh take on Vietnamese street food.” The sandwich spot is often referred to as the “Shake Shack of Vietnamese Sandwiches.”   According to Bun Mee, the eatery is known for its banh mi. In addition to different sandwiches, the eatery also offers pho, egg rolls and salt and pepper wings.   Image provided by Bun Mee Jollibee is (re)opening in downtown San Francisco Bun Mee also has an assortment of drinks, including Vietnamese iced coffee, vanilla lychee tea and matcha cold brew.  The first location opened in SF’s Pacific Heights neighborhood in 2011. The newest Bun Mee is located at 3330 Steiner Street. Bun Mee opened its new location on Oct. 11, which was National Banh Mi Day.
