NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A popular local beer brand is bringing a new brewery to New Orleans in 2025. Abita Brewing Company has announced it is planning to open a second brewery location on Tchoupitoulas Street. Dahrio and Gina Wonder to host Zumba Masterclass in Kenner New Orleans fans of the flagship location in Covington will be able to enjoy a brewhouse and tasting room where guests can learn more about Abita's history and brewing techniques. The brewery is expected to bring authentic Louisiana vibes in a modern space while offering fan-favorite brews and new flavors. (Courtesy: Abita Brewing Company)(Courtesy: Abita Brewing Company) Abita President Troy Ashley said the New Orleans location will be different from the flagship as they will brew on a smaller scale to "experiment and develop innovative beers and offerings."  A news release notes that while the location may be new, and the brewing will be at a smaller scale, the water used in the brewing process will remain the same. Brews Arts Festival to return to Hammond this November "Water is the foundation of all our brews, and we are committed to our craft brewing principles and staying true to who we are, which means all of the beverages crafted at our Southshore location will be brewed with the same pure, artesian spring water as our Northshore location," said Abita Vice President of Marketing Heidi Guerra. The second Abita brewery is expected to open on Tchoupitoulas Street in early 2025.
