  COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Small businesses and home owners in the state have a new opportunity for aid following Hurricane Helene. On Monday, Oct. 14, the governor’s office announced that people in the affected counties are now eligible for low interest disaster relief loans from the U.S. Small Business Association. Loans of up to 500 thousand dollars are available for those who are eligible. The filing deadline is November 29. The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 30. Applicants may apply online and receive additional disaster assistance information at sba.gov/disaster.
