AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A person believed to be the suspect in two downtown Austin area burglaries over the weekend died at the building where one of the burglaries happened, according to police. The Austin Police Department said officers responded to reports of a burglary in the 200 block of East Seventh Street around 5:20 p.m. Sunday. A caller told police the suspect was still in the building, and when officers located the suspect, he "did not appear to have a pulse," according to APD. He was pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m. APD said officers' investigation showed the suspect had been involved in another burglary in the 400 block of East Sixth Street earlier that day. The two areas are a little less than a quarter mile away from each other by foot. Police did not say whether the suspect had injuries. The death is not being investigated as a homicide.
