ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - There are a few scattered rain showers around today with temperatures stuck in the 40s. Wind continues to flow out of the north over Lake Ontario.
It's worth mentioning that a few spots above 1500' could be on deck for a slight wintry mix both Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Surface temperature may be in the 30s with a deep cold column of air. The vast majority of us are getting cold rain, but there may be a select few who see a mix come down in the early mornings.
The pattern breaks Wednesday night into Thursday as surface high pressure pushes into the Mid-Atlantic. This shifts the wind direction to a west flow, kicking out low-level moisture and clearing our skies. Expect sunshine Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with a daily climb in temperatures. We should get into the middle and upper 60s through the weekend. All signs point toward a nice little warm up into the following week.
