WEST WINDSOR — Mercer County Community College’s Gallery will exhibit Tim McFarlane’s work from October 14 to December 18. The show, titled “Black Drawings and Other Things You Didn’t Know About,” features 17 pieces by the Philadelphia-based artist. McFarlane’s work focuses on changes in human-made environments. He uses mixed media and acrylic on canvas to depict observations of public and personal spaces, construction sites, and altered public areas. An opening reception will be held on October 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will include refreshments and music by Mercer’s faculty jazz band ensemble led by Scott Hornick. The Gallery is located in Room 250 of the Communications Building at 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor, New Jersey. It is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 to 7 p.m. More information about Tim McFarlane can be found on his website.
