(ABC)  — There’s new legal trouble for susan smith, the Union County woman convicted nearly 30 years ago of killing her two children by driving into a lake in 1994. According to the Department of Corrections she was convicted Monday afternoon in prison of allegedly communicating with a documentary filmmaker about her crimes by telephone. Officials say Smith also agreed to provide the filmmaker with contact information for friends, family, and victims, including her former husband. In South Carolina, inmates are not allowed to do interviews on the phone or in person. however, they can write letters. Categories: Local News, National News, News
