UPDATE: MONDAY 10/14/2024 9:31 p.m. (COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to COTrip, I-25 is now completely closed at Northgate due to the earlier fatal rollover crash. Travelers are urged to plan alternate routes. ORIGINAL STORY: Crash leaves one dead, two I-25 lanes closed MONDAY 10/14/2024 7:24 p.m. The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) is responding to a crash on I-25 in Northern Colorado Springs. The crash has closed two southbound lanes between Northgate Boulevard and Baptist Road exits. On Monday, Oct. 14 at approximately 4:28 p.m. CSP responded to a call of a three-car crash on I-25 near North Gate Boulevard. CSP told FOX21 News a truck rolled off the side of I-25 and the driver, a 69-year-old man from Palmer Lake, was taken to a hospital where he later died. There is no estimated time for the roadway to be fully opened.
