NORTH CAROLINA — Grab your jackets this week! A cold front moved through Monday and has brought significantly colder air with it. Overnight low temperatures will drop into the 30s and 40s through the week across the Piedmont. Another surge of moisture is possible in the mountains late Tuesday. With the cold air in place and moisture, that means snow flurries for some. Snow accumulations will not be much, but it is possible those above 4,000′ will see 0.5” – 1”. The first average measurable snowfall in Charlotte is January 9th. However, Charlotte has not seen measurable snow since January 29, 2022. Nearly 1,000 days ago!
