Nevada State Parks A portion of the Spooner Lake State Park backcountry is closed until further notice due to an ongoing gas leak, according to Nevada State Parks in a social media post Monday. A contractor’s construction crew working under the Nevada Public Works division damaged a high-pressure gas line resulting in a gas leak. We ask that everyone avoid the area between Marlett Lake and Hobart Reservoir until we recieve confirmation the gas leak has been fixed.
