Chambers Street in Trenton is finally getting paved

A mile stretch of highway gutted by a PSE&G gas pipeline replacement project then patched, will receive a repaving finally.
Chambers St., a heavily traveled road between East State St. and Cedar Lane, had presented difficult conditions for motorists for nearly a year.

Motorists can expect smooth sailing soon as the pipeline project ends. Work began late last week and continued Monday.
In 2023, PSE&G began replacement of aging cast iron gas pipes with new, durable plastic and/or coated steel piping – ensuring the continued safety and reliability of our gas system well into the future, according to the utility’s website.
