The Florida Highway Patrol confirms a 14-year-old male was hit by a car Sunday in front of the Miccosukee Greenway in North East Tallahassee. According to Co-Master Corporal Patricia Jefferson-Shaw with FHP a car was traveling Eastbound on Miccosukee Road.The 14-year-old was walking in the same direction along the painted white fog line.The driver, identified as a 19-year-old female swerved left to avoid a collision with the 14-year-old but still hit him.Corporal Shaw confirms the teen was originally taken to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to their injuries Monday.The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
