SAVANNAH Ga. (WSAV) — A big surprise today for a local teenager, whose wishes are being granted. 14-year-old Kyra and her family were the guests of honor at Savannah's Drayton Hotel as Make-A-Wish Georgia surprised them with a trip to Disney World and Universal Orlando. HUB International-Chatham Insurance partners sponsored Kyra's wish along with today's celebration completed with gifts, cake, balloons and pizza. Kyra's mom said she's grateful. "It's a great opportunity for her, you know, to go on a trip that she probably wouldn't be able to go on otherwise, so we appreciate everything that everybody's done," Kyra's mom, Melissa Scroggins, said. Kyra is battling a heart condition, but remains a creative teenager who loves movies, especially the “Transformers" franchise which just happens to have a 3D ride at Universal Orlando, Have fun Kyra!
