WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The Providence Street Bridge over I-295 in West Warwick will be closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) says motorists should use a signed detour via Route 2 and East Avenue on those nights. ALSO READ: Demolition work on Washington Bridge to resume this week Crews are working to replace the bridge, which was originally built in 1968 and carries about 10,500 vehicles every day.
