RB James Cook out for Bills, but DB Taron Johnson, WR Khalil Shakir will return vs. Jets

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Bills will be without lead running back James Cook on Monday night, but reliable receiver Khalil Shakir and two defensive backfield starters in Taron Johnson and Taylor Rapp will return for the game against the Jets at the Meadowlands.

Cook was listed as inactive with a toe injury he sustained in practice. The Bills elevated rookie running back Frank Gore Jr. to make his NFL debut on Monday night.
Johnson, an All-Pro at his position last season, is active for the first time since injuring his forearm in the season opener. Rapp is playing after missing one game with a concussion.

Defensive lineman Ed Oliver is out for the second week in a row with a hamstring injury.
The other inactive players for the Bills are: safety Mike Edwards, linebackers Joe Andreeseen and Edefuan Ulofoshio, and offensive lineman Will Clapp.
