Superintendent at Parkview Baptist School in Baton Rouge placed on leave, school confirmed

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The superintendent of Parkview Baptist School in Baton Rouge has been placed on leave.
The director of advancement at Parkview Baptist School confirmed Dr. Don Mayes was placed on leave on Monday, Oct. 14.
The school said there wasn't any criminal wrongdoing on Dr. Mayes' part. The leave is part of an ongoing internal review. The school said they want to assure the community remains focused on the students and maintaining the integrity of the operations.
Parkview Baptist School is a private Christ-centered school, serving Pre-K through 12th grade students. It's located at 5750 Parkview Church Road in Baton Rouge. It was established in 1981.
