(KGET) -- Houchin Community Blood Bank will be offering a limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirt to all successful platelet donations from Oct. 20 through Oct. 26, according to organizers. The promotion aims to highlight the vital role of platelet donations for countless cancer patients who often experience low platelet counts. A low platelet count can complicate surgeries in cancer patients.
