Join Torpedo Factory Art Center this Saturday, October 19, from 12pm to 4pm, for Art Safari!  A family favorite now in its 29th year, Art Safari returns for a day of creativity and art making. This year’s event focuses on “Invention, Innovation, and Creativity,” featuring hands-on projects for budding art enthusiasts on all three floors of the Art Center. Kids can engage in all kinds of activities and demonstrations! * Ignite your creative spirit with artmaking on large canvases. * Shape your imagination with clay sculpting. * Create dynamic collages using bits of fabric and fiber with Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery artists. * Take part in a scavenger hunt and explore the galleries and landmarks of Torpedo Factory Art Center. * Design your own fierce lion mask with watercolor, printmaking, and drawing. * Slip into the past with Alexandria’s Archaeology Museum and experiment with unique ceramics techniques. The free event is great for kids ages 5+. Younger children may need some extra help, but will still have a lot of fun. Dress to get a little messy!
