Following a successful 2023 gala that featured a rousing performance from the Fiddlehead String Quartet on the Fallsington Library’s newly revamped second-floor stage, the library is once again opening its doors and inviting patrons and community members alike to its Oct. 26 Fall Concert Fundraiser. This month’s event aims to raise funds for Fallsington Library’s programming, which includes year-round fun, hands-on STEAM programs, an immersive summer activity and reading program, yoga classes, and train and craft clubs. The popular Fiddlehead String Quartet returns for the night of fun and fundraising. Attendees can enjoy light fare, library-themed games, as well as the chance to bid on dozens of items, including tickets to area museums and botanical gardens, restaurant gift cards, attraction tickets, musical instruments, vintage and antique items, jewelry, art and more. “We’re thrilled to welcome back the Fiddlehead String Quartet. They’ll be playing a mix of classical music plus songs by Radiohead, Queen, and the Beatles. The auction has fabulous things, too, all donated by our supporters. Last year’s event raised several thousand dollars, and we’re hoping to match that again this year,” Fallsington Library Executive Director Charlene Rendeiro said. “It’s wonderful to see new and old friends enjoy themselves at our library – some of them in evening gowns!” WM, Parry Insurance and ShopRite of Yardley are sponsoring Fallsington Library’s Fall Concert Fundraiser.
