EMPORIA (KSNT) - One person was taken to an area hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation after a structure fire in Emporia on Sunday. On Monday, the City of Emporia reported that the Emporia Fire Department had worked a structure fire on Sunday in the 200 block of South Union Street. According to the report, smoke was seen coming from the front and the roof of the structure. Firefighters used two fire hoses to douse the fire. According to the report, the room where the fire was found sustained serious damage, and smoke damaged the structure. 16-year-old seriously injured in Jefferson Co. crash The city said the incident is still under investigation.
