SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexican runners, get ready to stretch those legs for a good cause. This weekend, nonprofit organization Pink Me is holding its Pink Me Lace Up & Race event in Santa Fe. Proceeds from the run will go to help expand Pink Me's programs. "We have our financial assistance program and we also have our Mammograms Matter New Mexico program for breast screenings, and also recently our food project program where we buy groceries for those families," says Founder and President of Pink Me, Michelle Beans. "[The race] is for the community to come together, celebrate the breast cancer community of survivors, thrivers, and some that are no longer with us," says Beans. The Pink Me Lace Up & Race will be held on Saturday, October 19, at the Villa Linda Park in Santa Fe. The race begins at 8:30 a.m. and more information can be found on the Pink Me website.
