HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - The eastbound lanes at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) will be temporarily closed Monday afternoon due to unplanned road work. According to officials, starting at 1 p.m., the HRBT east will be closed while road work is being completed on the Willoughby Bay Bridge. Traffic will be diverted at Settlers Landing Road in Hampton in the meantime. There is no estimated time for reopening, but officials said the closure will remain in place until crews are able to remove an overhead sign structure. Continue to check WAVY.com for updates.
