NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Early voting in Louisiana for the upcoming Nov. 5 presidential election begins Friday, Oct. 18. Up until Oct. 29, registered voters can cast their ballots early to decide the next President of The United States along with local leaders and amendments that will directly impact them One amendment Louisiana voters will have on their ballots surrounds increased coastal protection. JD Vance visits New Orleans, attends fundraiser The measure will require the treasurer to annually deposit into the Coastal Protection and Restoration fund from the Outer Continental Shelf oil land gas activity. The last day of online voter registration is Tuesday, Oct. 15. The last day to register by mail was Oct. 7. The last day to request a mail-in ballot is Nov.1 and the last day to mail it in is Nov. 4. Early voting locations will be open from  8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. across all parishes.
