NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The nominations are in. And WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood gets the Emmy nod for news writing. It's for the 48th Annual Suncoast Emmy Awards. His ‘Arroz con Leche’ puts the pop in popsicle on the North Shore Bill's WGNO nomination is for Bill Wood: Write Click. It's a compilation of three of his stories. One is called Poet of the Place, a feature about LSU Tiger Stadium announcer Dan Borne. Also in the mix, a story called Globetrotting to Victory, about a New Orleans middle school basketball teamed coached by one of the first female members of the Harlem Globetrotters. And the story of the youngest CPA in the world. It's called At 15, He's Gone Fishing. Go Figure. The Suncoast Emmys will be awarded in Florida in December.
