MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- "Hamilton" the musical will return to the Orpheum for the 2024-2025 Broadway Season. The award-winning musical tells the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton's rise as he "fights for honor, love, and a legacy that would shape the course of a nation," according to the Orpheum. The musical is based on Ron Chernow's 2004 biography but incorporates hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway to depict Hamilton's role in writing the history of the new nation. "Hamilton" features music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. Tickets will go on sale for the general public on Thursday at 10 a.m. Hamilton's last showing at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Memphis was in 2021.
