'Hamilton' returns to Orpheum for 2025 Broadway Season

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- "Hamilton" the musical will return to the Orpheum for the 2024-2025 Broadway Season.
The award-winning musical tells the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton's rise as he "fights for honor, love, and a legacy that would shape the course of a nation," according to the Orpheum.
The musical is based on Ron Chernow's 2004 biography but incorporates hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway to depict Hamilton's role in writing the history of the new nation.
"Hamilton" features music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. The musical has won 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and a special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

The musical will take the Orpheum stage from February 18 - March 2. Tickets will go on sale for the general public on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Hamilton's last showing at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Memphis was in 2021.
