(ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Laurel County Courthouse and its annex building have been evacuated and will remain closed for the remainder of the day following a bomb threat reported earlier Monday morning. County Clerk Tony Brown confirmed the courthouse would be closed. According to a Facebook post by the London Police Department, the threat was called in just after 10 a.m., prompting an immediate evacuation. Police are currently searching the area, and several streets surrounding the courthouse have been blocked to facilitate the investigation.
