SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter Police says a reward is available for information leading to the arrest of a person identified after shots were fired into an occupied home.
A warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Ty’heim Anthony James of Robney Drive for firing into an occupied dwelling.
Officers say the gunfire began after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, when his own home was fired into from a passing vehicle that sped away.
An ongoing investigation found that James then left his home and began firing shots along Robney Drive and into a home near his.
Investigators say several people, including adults and children were inside the home at the time it was hit by gunfire.
No injuries were reported. However, the home adjacent to the property and nearby vehicles received damage.
There is an up to $5,000 reward available for information leading to the arrest of James.
Anyone who sees James or knows where he can be found is asked to call the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700.
