Orangeburg Co. deputies asking for public’s help finding missing preteen

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Deputies with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help finding a missing preteen.
Investigators said 12-year-old Zakia Yani Brown was last seen on Sunday afternoon.
“If anyone has seen this child, please let us know. We’ve got deputies searching but we’re asking for your help as well,” said Sheriff Ravenell.
Brown was last seen around 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, around the 800 block of Carson Street.
She is described as a black female last believed to be wearing a a shirt sleeve black shirt, a black zip up jacket, black and white zebra pants and “bubba” slides.
If anyone has any information on Brown’s whereabouts, they are urged to call the Orangeburg County Communications Center at 803-534-3550.
