BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Take a special trip to a corn maze or pumpkin patch for a festive fall photoshoot with the family. The fall season brings cooler weather and fun activities to do with friends and family. After picking up a pumpkin spiced latte at a local coffee shop, drive to a corn maze or pumpkin patch in the area with a group for a fun time. Looking for other fall fun? There are many festivals and Halloween events for kids and adults planned in the Baton Rouge area. Here's a list of corn mazes and pumpkin patches. Corn Maze at Burden Get tickets sooner than later for this popular corn maze in Baton Rouge. There are morning, midday and afternoon sessions planned for every Saturday in October. See where to donate Halloween costumes for children in, near Baton Rouge Barn Hill Preserve's Pumpkin Patch This is a great place to bring the family for fun with wagon rides, zoo trails, petting zoo and photo ops. The pumpkin patch will be on every weekend in October and November. Tickets are $18. Where: 11342 LA-955, Ethel. Jefferson United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch This pumpkin patch opened Oct. 3 and is open from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Where: 10328 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge. Newsong Community Church Pumpkin Patch Take cute fall photos with the family at photo ops at this pumpkin patch. The church specifies that no professional photographers are allowed due to liability issues. The proceeds from pumpkins sold will go toward missions. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday throughout October. Where: 18465 Old Perkins Road, Prairieville. Mrs. Heather's Farm Pumpkin Patch The pumpkin patch will be available until Nov. 8. Bring cash for admission. Prices are $10 per child for kids and free for parents. It's $10 each for adults without kids. Activities include picking a pumpkin from the field, exploring a hay maze and corn maze, games and more. Click here for more information.
