BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Dr. Ravi Patel, from the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center, joined 17 News at Sunrise to talk more about new developments in breast cancer research. According to Dr. Patel, keeping up to date with mammograms, reducing alcohol consumption, keeping your weight down, exercising regularly, and taking the exam will reduce the chances of being diagnosed.
