The best chances for it will be later this evening. Highs will only reach the mid 50s. This is 25 degrees colder than yesterday. Winds will continue to stay fairly breezy through the evening hours with the northwesterly flow helping to bring in even more colder air. Even cooler lows are expected tonight with temperatures in the city falling close to 40 degrees in the city. Rural areas will cool down even more into the upper 30s. A few more scattered showers will also move through as well, though little accumulation is going to fall. The breezy conditions are finally coming to an end for most people tonight. Tomorrow will be even cooler with highs only reaching the low 50. A few are scattered showers are also expected. Overnight lows will be cold enough that frost may develop and some areas have the possibility of seeing their first freeze of the year. These cold temps will last through the opening ceremony of the Circleville Pumpkin Show. Even colder temperatures are expected by the middle of the week. Those who did not see their first freeze Tuesday night will have an even better chance to see it Wednesday night. A warm up will start up as the upper level trough moves out and a ridge of high pressure will help change the overall weather pattern in Central Ohio. By this weekend temperatures are expected to return to the low 70s with sunny skies.
