Somewhere around November, we usually start to feel pretty smug about living in Los Angeles. As our East Coast friends begin to head indoors, we can still savor some after-dark alfresco fun here—at least with the aid of some outdoor heaters. That’s all especially true for Rooftop Cinema Club, which is keeping outdoor movie season going well into the fall and winter with the November 7 return of its Fireside Films series. Back after its Valentine’s Day debut, the cold-weather series will add wood-burning patio heaters to its fourth-floor Downtown L.A. rooftop as well as a complimentary hot beverage with each ticket (hot chocolate, tea, apple cider or coffee). Tickets go on sale today and cost $34.50 for an Adirondack chair (that’s the price with the service fee added), or $39.10 for a spot on a love seat. If a heater and some good company aren’t enough to keep you warm, there’ll be blankets available at LEVEL for an additional charge (as well as a drinks at the bar and a selection of comfort food). And as is the case at all RCC screenings, you’ll listen to all of the films via a provided pair of wireless headphones. So what about the movies? Expect a steady stream of holiday picks (Elf, Home Alone, The Holiday), local favorites (La La Land, Friday) and recent releases (Deadpool & Wolverine).
