NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - The Three County Fairgrounds puts on several festivals throughout the year, bringing thousands of people from all over to the city of Northampton. This weekend was the Paradise City Arts Festival, a time for artists to showcase and sell their work and connect with the community. This month, there were 220 artists and makers. "It is really unique to be able to actually get first-hand context with the artists who make all of this incredible work. You get to hear the stories behind it, the technique, the lifestyles behind it. They set up really their own boutiques and its a way to extract as much work from the content from the work that you get to collect," said Mariah Swanson, the director of Marketing for the Paradise Arts Festival. This three day festival happens twice a year in May and October and the theme for this month was fall. At the arts festival, visitors were able to buy contemporary crafts and fine arts including home décor, jewelry, glass, ceramics and paintings. If you have not had a chance to go to the festival this weekend, you can go on Monday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. You can also go to the festival in Marlborough from November 22nd to the 24th.
