2 men stabbed minutes apart in Rockville, police say

ROCKVILLE, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) said it is investigating after two men were stabbed just minutes apart in Rockville on Sunday evening.
According to the department, shortly before 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the Twinbrook Metro Station for a stabbing. Officers then learned that an unknown suspect allegedly approached a man and stabbed him.
Officers from the Metro Transit Police Department also responded and are handling the investigation.
Just a few minutes later, the RCPD responded to a separate call for a stabbing in the 1500 block of Rockville Pike, near the Metro station. There, officers found another man who had been stabbed in the back.

Responders took both men to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said they have not yet found the suspect, who was last seen wearing all-black clothing. As of Sunday night, residents can expect a significant law enforcement presence in the area as police look for the suspect.
RCPD encourages community members to stay aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to 911.
