Blue Jackets 2022 second-round pick Luca Del Bel Belluz had a hat trick, and the visiting Monsters earned their first victory of the season, 6-3, over Hershey on Oct. 13. Cleveland (1-1) and the Bears split the season-opening series. Del Bel Belluz had a power-play goal, an even-strength goal and an empty-netter. Longtime Monsters right winger Trey Fix-Wolansky added a goal and three assists. He has four assists for the season. Roman Ahcan also scored for Cleveland, giving him two goals in two games. James Malatesta had the Monsters’ last goal. Zach Sawchenko stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced. Cleveland is off until Oct. 18, when it visits Charlotte for two games in two nights.
