Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images The Detroit Lions made sure to remind the refs of their mistake against the Dallas Cowboys last season with this creative troll job. The Detroit Lions never seem to forget or forgive. Last season, when the Lions played the Dallas Cowboys, the officials seemed to get involved once again in a crucial moment. Lions left tackle Taylor Decker came in on a two-point conversion, reported as eligible, and would score on a catch. Until the refs ruled him as an ineligible receiver on the play, as they seemed to have missed when Decker reported. Instead, they believed Dan Skipper reported as eligible. It was clear as day, but in the end, the Lions would lose the game 20-19 off of the missed call. In the rematch on Sunday, the Lions made sure to remind the officials of their mistake from last season. On a touchdown run to make it 27-3, the Lions didn’t just report one offensive lineman as eligible, but two of them: Skipper AND Decker both reported as eligible—with Kayode Awosika in as a seventh offensive lineman. The Lions ensured there would be no confusion. With seven offensive linemen and two tight ends involved, the Lions ran it in with running back David Montgomery.
