WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers arrested two people after finding them in possession of an illegal firearm in Southeast D.C. Credit: MPD Police said the arrest happened after officers saw "suspicious activity" while patrolling the area in the 5300 block of Queens Stroll Place. MPD: Teen arrested for having illegal automatic gun Officers then recovered a 9mm handgun from a car and arrested two people. MPD currently offers up to $2,500 for anonymous information on illegal firearms. Police encourage anyone with information to call (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to 50411.
