ARCHDALE, N.C. (WGHP) — The Guil-Rand Fire Department spent Sunday afternoon battling a structure fire, the fire chief reported. Around 2 p.m., crews were actively fighting a fire at Westbrook Court condominiums. It reportedly took around an hour to get the fire under control. Extensive damage to six of the units in the building, which is half of the building, was reported. The Red Cross was called to assist around 20 displaced individuals. All five Guil-Rand units were on the scene in addition to crews from Randolph County EMS, Guilford County and High Point Fire. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
