With this month's "Framed/Shoot Through" theme, photographers took their camera lenses to the outdoors and beyond for the October competition of the Carson City Photo Club. Here are the winners for the “Framed/Shoot Through” competition, which resulted in a number of ties. Scroll and double click on the photos to enlarge. 1st Place: "The Root Of It All” Micki McArtor (No Pic) 1st Place: “Stellar Jay” Trent Pitsenbarger 2nd Place: “School House” Beth Breton 2rd Place: “Peek a Boo” MaryLou Schindler 2rd Place: “Wiley Coyote’s Art Work” Rob McArtor (No Pic) 3rd Place: “Mountain Top” Beth Matheus 3rd Place: “Through the Egg” Mark Frazzita 3rd Place: “Horse Heard” Jim Donato Winner's Choice: “Through the Looking Glass” John Lagios The Carson City Photo Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month, except December, in the Ormsby Room of the Carson City Sheriff's Office, 911 East Musser Street. The theme for November is “Trees.” Become a member and submit your photo, Your photo must have been taken within the last year. All levels of photographers are welcome.
