Bismarck/Wilton area wildfires contained

According to a Facebook post from Burleigh County, the fires are now 100% contained.
In total, the fire was approximately five miles long, and 1/2 to 3/4ths of a mile wide. Roughly 2,200 to 2,300 acres were burned.

According to Burleigh County fire officials, the fire is 80% contained.

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Firefighters are currently battling multiple wildfires that have broken out north of the Bismarck area.
According to Burleigh County Fire officials, the fires broke out in an area known as the Double Ditch (West of Highway 83 between Bismarck and Wilton) this evening.
Officials say that the area impacted by the fires is approximately one mile long, and strong gusty winds are making the situation even more difficult.

At least two National Guard helicopters are making water drops over the area.
The current number of acres burned and communities impacted is unknown. KX News will provide more information as it becomes available.
