Pedestrian killed in Jurupa Valley hitandrun

JURUPA VALLEY — A 23-year-old man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle in Jurupa Valley, authorities said Saturday.
Deputies were dispatched around 8:30 p.m. Friday to the area of Mission Boulevard and Pyrite Street, south of the 60 Freeway, regarding a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash.
Responding deputies located the victim in the roadway with “obvious signs of death,” according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The pedestrian, who was identified as Alex Grace of Jurupa Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no suspect information immediately available.
