CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A murder suspect is behind bars after a quick capture in Chester County.  The suspect is accused of killing his own mother. Chester County Sherriff’s Office confirmed after a nearly two hour search that Breon Feaster was taken into custody and placed behind bars. Investigators say deputies responded to a shooting incident at a home on Columbia Road just after 12 a.m. Friday morning. After arriving deputies say they found one victim who had been shot in the home. The victim was later pronounced dead. Investigators confirmed the victim was the mother of Feaster. Deputies say Feaster fled the scene and was on the run for just under two hours. Responders tracked Feaster using K9 units and a drone equipped with thermal vision. The agencies drone team spotted Feaster walking on train tracks just behind the home where the shooting occurred. Deputies chased Feaster and ultimately arrested him just minutes away from where he initially fled. Feaster was transported to the Chester County Detention Center, and has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. The Sheriff’s Office says this arrest would not have been possible without the work of the drone team.
