Bicyclist dies after losing control, crashing in Del Mar

DEL MAR, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man is dead after police say he lost control of his bicycle and crashed in Del Mar Saturday morning.
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department reports deputies with the North Coastal Sheriff's Station found a 60-year-old man with serious injuries lying on the ground in the 1900 block of Jimmy Durante Boulevard in Del Mar just after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Suspect arrested in arson series along coastal North County
The sheriff's department says a preliminary investigation revealed the man lost control of his bicycle and crashed, and that at this time it appears no other vehicles were involved.
Paramedics and deputies tried to save the man by performing life-saving measures and took him to the hospital where he later died.
